About RivaClear Environmental
RivaClear Environmental was founded by husband-and-wife team Jeff and Laura Blair with a shared belief that local businesses deserve dependable service, honest communication, and a provider who truly cares about their success.

We are a locally owned and independently operated grease and wastewater service company serving restaurants and commercial facilities throughout Western North Carolina. Based in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, we understand the unique challenges businesses face in our region—from access limitations and scheduling pressures to the importance of reliable, no-surprises service.
Why We Started RivaClear Environmental
Over the past several years, the grease pumping and wastewater service industry has changed significantly. Following COVID and the widespread disruption caused by Hurricane Helene, many long-standing local service providers either closed, merged, or changed hands during a period when communities were already under strain.

As these changes took place, something important was lost:
local accountability, personal service, and consistent customer care.

Jeff and Laura both worked closely with restaurants and food service operations and saw firsthand how these shifts affected day-to-day operations. Missed service windows, inconsistent communication, rushed jobs, and a growing disconnect from the needs of local businesses became increasingly common.

RivaClear Environmental was created to bring back what had disappeared—a local service company that answers the phone, shows up when scheduled, does the job right, and treats customers like partners, not account numbers.
